2 onions, diced 2 Tablespoons olive oil 6 cloves minced garlic 1/2 cup red wine
Brown onions in olive oil until translucent. Stir in garlic. De-glaze pan with wine, scraping all bits from bottom.
Stir in the following:
2- 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes with basil 1-28 oz can diced tomatoes 2 Tablespoons sugar (to cut acidity) 6 oz can of tomato paste
Simmer covered, stirring occasionally, until thickened. About 1 hour.
